I am sure that even from when we where young, all of us had the experience of working for an obnoxious silver spoone'r who honestly believed that narcissism is an enviable trait especially when coupled with a low IQ! The problem arises when people internalise all of this anger and hurt or guilt and come home at the end of the day to kick the child and scream at the dog, (hopefully not in that order) before endlessly complaining to their partner and family about the issue.
This seriously can effect young people who are not sure what is really going on and go to school in a bad mood or are frightened and face insecurity - Dad or Mom are always saying "I won't stand for his/her shit anymore, if he/she does it one more time in walking out"! If constantly repeated this creates concern and worry and fear in your family at your anger. This constant abuse at work or unrealistic expectation from a client or boss is invariably just someone trying to get their own way and earn their own brownie points at your expense. You have to stand up to them there and then in as diplomatically a way as possible and let them know you have rights and are not afraid to exercise them.
Our ex President Nelson Mandela when incarcerated for life and on one of his first mornings on Robin Island was approached by a loud and aggressive warder. Mr. Mandela rose up to his full height, he is well over 6 ft tall looked him straight in the eye and in his booming voice warned him as gently as possible, that should he or his fellow prisoners be victimised by the individual in anyway, he would see to it that legal action would be initiated against him to the full extent of the law! This being a prisoner with no rights, on an Island and under the control of uneducated, indoctrinated thug warders! He let them know from day 1 that no one was going to break him down at great risk to his life and wellbeing. Imagine if he was like the rest of us and took what ever they threw at him. What would have 27 years of that type of treatment done to him? No, he was tough and an example to all, so can you be!
Take back your power! You only have one life to live. Bring home love and not anger - sleep well and let your oppressor worry about not getting their way, remind them you have rights and will use them. It wont be long and they will leave you alone. - It's important, don't let anal people have a ripple effect on your children, your wife, family and everyone around you! (Read the book I have highlighted - it will show you how to get started)!
